For the past 10 years George Rodriguez has been involved with coaching Pole Vaulting.
In 1998, George introduced a pole vaulting club "Texas Pole Vault" which started developing
Pole Vaulters of all ages, level and gender. For the past six years many of these vaulters
have medaled at the Texas State Championship and both USATF and AAU National competitions.
All vaulters have experienced success at every level of competition and some have accepted
college scholarships and are competing at the college level.
George Rodriguez has been instrumental in the development of a progressive training system, enabling vaulters to jump both
safer and higher. Georges knowledge and method of training at Texas Pole Vault has helped to develop numerous female high
school Vaulters that jumped over 12'. Many have been ranked in the "Texas Top 10" and in the Nations Top 20"
of female high school vaulters. Texas Pole Vault has also developed three 16' high school boys and numerous 14'-15' vaulters.
In the last three years alone Texas Pole Vault Vaulters have qualified 11 athletes and collected 9 medals at the UIL State
Championship including 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze.
This progressive training system allows athletes to master the different levels of drills and exercises. With their added
knowledge and confidence TPV Vaulters have improved an average 1.0 feet per year which is a testament to the athletes commitment
to the TPV system.
In 2004 George was honored to be invited as a clinician to the Girls Junior Olympic Elite Development Camp at the united State Olympic Center in Chula Vista, CA. It was a wonderful experience where new and exciting coaching information was learned and shared. George, would like to personally thank Kris Allison at Lone Star Pole Vault for that opportunity.
Here at Elite Sportz, TexasPoleVault hopes to get the opportunity to help you or your vaulter "Run Faster, Jump Higher and Safer."
